The SpiritPFC Fuel Purifier is a patented fuel enhancement product that is placed into an engine's fuel system, fuel can, or storage system, treating and removing undesirable elements from Gasoline and Diesel Fuels.

When immersed in fuel, the SpiritPFC Fuel Purifier produces an electro-chemical reaction which causes dissolved elements contained in the fuel to collect on the purifier catalyst material. These elements are removed from the fuel prior to entering your engine greatly improving the fuel's ability to combust enhancing the performance of the fuel. Removing these undesirable elements the fuel system also drastically reduces oxidation of the fuel which is a major cause of fuel instability and poor performance. (See the removal of elements test done by EPA certified Laboratory.)

More Power and Torque!

Above you see results from a series of Dynamometer runs that consistently show improvement in horsepower as well as torque while using the SpiritPFC products. To view the fuel report in a PDF file, please click on either of the images above.

Reduces Engine Deposits!

Here you see two close-ups of the SpiritPFC purifier element. On the left is a new unused SpiritPFC catalyst. On the right, is a photo of the SpiritPFC catalyst after being immersed in gasoline for three days. Notice the build-up of the elements removed from the fuel!

If these elements are allowed into the engine, they will become what many referred to as "Carbon Deposits". These so called "Carbon Deposits" are actually several different combinations of element deposits that solidify in the combustion chamber. They cause incomplete combustion, fouled spark plugs, clogged injectors, the clogging of the exhaust catalytic converter and will steadily degrade your engine's performance!

If the internal combustion engine burned 100% efficient and burned at its stoichiometric (perfect combustion) value, all that would remain from the combustion process would be Carbon Dioxide and Water. Unfortunately the combustion is never that efficient because several conditions cause the fuel's ability to combust to be less than perfect.

SpiritPFC Fuel Products approach this problem from a new unique angle. Our product removes many of the elements that detract from the fuels performance! Look at a simple test we performed to illustrate this. Benefits of the improved fuel purity are a cleaner combustion, which leads to better engine performance. Click here to view our test results!

Improves Fuel Economy!

SpiritPFC fuel products very commonly improve fuel economy when treating typical consumer fuels. In all tests we have performed using a standard grades commonly available to most consumers of fuel, we have seen impressive improvements in the fuel economy as well as other performance qualities. Although the amount of these change vary, we have seen the most common range of 5-15% improvement. In some applications we have seen more or less than that figure, again depending on the initial state of fuel treated. When testing higher grades of fuel such as racing or aviation fuels no performance increases were seen.

It is important to understand that our products correct certain flaws in fuel quality mostly due to unwanted products dissolved or suspended in the fuel much as a common fuel filter will improve performance over unfiltered fuel.

Higher more expensive grades of fuel as the classification suggests are produced to higher standard and therefore may not contain the impurities the SpiritPFC fuel products remove. Consequently if there are no (or very little) impurities in the fuel, it is obvious then results will not be as great.

Even though in your specific situation you may not see a dramatic performance improvement, understand that our products are still working to protect your engine and fuel system assuring you will enjoy peak performance no matter what fuels you use.

Improves Fuel Storage Stability!

When the crude oil is first removed from the earth, it contains many elements not useful in internal combustion products. This is why crude oil must be separated or refined into products that include gasoline and diesel fuel.

Even after the refining process, petroleum fuels still contain a certain amount of dissolved metals or "organo-metalics". They include things like Lead, Sulfur, Copper, Aluminum, etc. These elements can also be introduced into the fuel as it makes its way to the pump. The fuel companies would also rather that consumers do not know that much of the fuel we buy at the pump can be considered somewhat of a "garbage dump" of byproducts left over in the refining process.

When fuel de-stabilizes it is usually due to a reaction called "Oxidation". Fuel Oxidation is caused by reactions between chemicals and elements such as copper present within the fuel itself. Destabilization produces a gummy substance that will deposit in everything from the fuel tank to your exhaust system. Here are quotes from one of the largest petroleum companies, Chevron explaining how fuels destabilize and the result...

"The gum formed by oxidation is usually soluble in gasoline. However, it remains behind as a sticky residue when the gasoline evaporates. Since gasoline begins to evaporate in the carburetor of a carbureted engine or in the injector of a fuel-injected engine, a gasoline containing soluble gum may leave a deposit on these parts and on the intake valves. These deposits will be in addition to the deposits normally formed by a gum-free gasoline a formation triggered by the elevated engine temperatures.

Modern engines are designed to run best when vital engine parts are clean. Carburetor and fuel injector deposits can cause hesitation and stumbling on acceleration, lower fuel economy, lower power output, and higher emissions of hydrocarbons and carbon monoxide. Excessive intake valve deposits can cause many of the same performance problems, plus higher emissions of hydrocarbons, carbon monoxide, and nitrogen oxides.

For the most part, instability involves the chemical conversion of precursors to species of higher molecular weight with limited fuel solubility. The precursors are certain nitrogen and/or sulfur containing compounds, organic acids, and reactive olefins. The conversion process often involves oxidation of the precursors. Certain dissolved metals, especially copper, contribute by functioning as oxidation catalysts". (Source, Chevron Phillips)

As you can see, the reaction between elements such as copper in the fuel contributes to oxidation that will quickly degrade the fuel's properties reducing its combustion performance. Knowing this you can see that removing these elements from the fuel before combustion will improve the fuel's quality!

SpiritPFC Fuel Products remove these elements from the fuel system, therefore reducing the oxidation process and improving the fuels quality and performance!

Reduces Bacterial Growth. Bacteria and suspended water exist in diesel fuel as well as gasoline. When water begins to collect at the bottom of the tank the bacteria begin to grow in the interface area between the fuel and water, producing a green to brownish "scum" that will eventually clog fuel filters and ultimately corrode and destroy the affected parts. The purifier does not actually remove the bacteria, but it does kill and inhibit further growth. The elements contained within the purifier acts as a natural biocide killing the bacteria which then can be filtered out by the fuel system's fuel filter. The advantage of using the SpiritPFC purifier as a biocide over a liquid biocide is that while suspended in the fuel the purifier constantly protects your fuel system. The liquid biocides only work until they are consumed by the combustion process!

How long do SpiritPFC Fuel Products last? The life span of the fuel purifier depends on the type and quality of the fuel it is exposed to. The SpiritPFC Fuel Purifier does not wear out or become consumed in any way. It becomes coated with the dissolved metals removed from your fuel which will gradually reduce the cleaning effect. In gasoline applications the drop-in will normally last a few years. In heavier fuels such as diesel fuel, we recommend replacement at least every 50,000 miles or (3) years.
